I. The church is God’s temple. (v. 4-5)
II. The church is built upon Christ, the cornerstone. (v.6-8)
A. There is honor for those who believe. (v.6-7a)
B. There is shame for those who do not believe. (v.7b-8)
III. The church is the new Israel. (v. 9-10, cf. Isa. 43:20-21, Ex. 19:5-6, Hos. 2:23)
IV. The church’s purpose is to make much of Jesus. (v. 9b)
