November 29, 2020 ~ "The King For All"

I. Jesus’ Genealogy

    A. It is selective.

    B. It is unexpected.

    C. It is purposeful.

II. Jesus’ Purpose

    A. Jesus is the Christ, who came to deliver his people.

    B. Jesus is the Son of David, who came to establish his kingdom forever.

    C. Jesus is the Son of Abraham, who came to bless all peoples on the earth.

III. Jesus’ People.

    - Jesus came for the least, the lost, and the left out.

November 22, 2020 ~ "God's Unfailing Kindness in Redemption"

We will see that God’s unfailing kindness is ultimately revealed in redemption He provides.

I. A significant formal legal transaction. (v.1-12)

This redemption is not to be taken lightly - it is a risky, costly endeavor.

This redemption is accompanied by blessing.

II. A redeeming child is born in Bethlehem. (v.13-17)

III. Just how many redeemers are in this story? (v.18-22)

IV. Applications for the redeemed:

    A. Salvation in Jesus is “THE payoff” - He is our prize!

    B. Our redemption - this salvation in Christ brings transformation!

        1. Our purpose is now bigger than ourselves.

        2. We can keep our focus on Jesus when things are going well.

        3. We can endure hardship.

        4. We are called to be agents of loving kindness & redemption.

        5. We need to be prepared to be sacrificial.
